Shark Fishing Destin

The Thrill of a Lifetime ~ Shark Fishing.  If you have never been deep sea fishing, you are in for a thrill of a lifetime.  You’ve probably seen deep sea fishing on TV, like “Deadliest Catch” and “Shark Week”.  Your adventure won’t be anything like that. You will take a fun, relaxing ride out to deep water where the big fish are, and then the adventure begins with Shark Fishing with Backcountry Outfitters. Destin Shark fishing season starts in April and goes through October. If you plan your vacation in May, June, or July, you will want to schedule a shark fishing trip; as these are the best months for catching sharks.  Here in the Gulf, you are likely to find many different species of sharks, including nurse sharks, hammerheads, black tips, reef sharks, and bull sharks, as these are most plentiful. But don’t be surprised if you get hold of a mako or tiger shark, as they are found in these waters too, just not as commonly. Sharks commonly weigh-in between 75-150 lbs. which will give you a wrangling experience you won’t soon forget.  Don’t be surprised, however, if you catch one much larger.
